The crucifixion represents the defining moment of the Christian story. Traditionally, for the artists, the crucifixion represented almost, a right of passage.  Most renaissance painters and sculptors would at some point in their careers, be commissioned to do a rendering of this powerful scene.  

I am exploring realistic anatomy combined with stylized interpretation with my version in forged mild steel.  I designed this piece to evoke questions and invite a variety of different interpretations.
